Quotes from Publications
NVDA featured briefly in a presentation at the EDUCAUSE Midwest Regional Conferences in March 2008 entitled Free Assistive Technology Software (Yes, Free!):
NVDA is a screen reader that provides access to most Windows functionality through synthesized speech. Navigation is accomplished only using the computer keyboard. It is comparable to commercial products, such as JAWS and Window-Eyes.
The Royal New Zealand Foundation of the Blind: Outlook Summer 2008 magazine:
Development of the Non-Visual Desktop Assistant (NVDA), a collaborative open-source screen-reader, continues. It's an option for those who don't need the full scope of a commercial screen-reader or need a quick solution when away from home. The Aotearoa Peoples Network have made their machines accessible to the portable version of NVDA and more details of the libraries involved can be found at http://www.peoplesnetworknz.org.nz/Partners
