Long description of the Donate button image
The donate button is an image created in Scalable Vector Graphics (SVG) format using TEXT elements, a rectangle, a path and a filter effect, compliant to the W3C SVG 1.0 specification. The button shown at the top of every page on the NV Access site is a raster image of the SVG image, provided in PNG format.
The donate button, as shown on this website, sits on a transparent background and is a blue rectangular shape, 3 times as wide as it is high. In the case of the image shown at the top of every page on this site, it is exactly 120 pixels wide and 40 pixels high in the default presentation. The blue button shape itself is drawn in a blue-purple colour with a semi-three-dimensional semi-metallic appearance calculated by an SVG filter effect. The metallic filter is derived from the example shown at: "WebReference.com - Scalable Vector Graphics: The Art is in the Code: 6/8): Filter Effects:".
The donate button contains the word "Donate" written in thick black letters in the font "Arial Rounded MT Bold", at a point size of 50. The text is aligned vertically in the centre of the button and horizontally left aligned near to the left edge of the button. The text takes up the majority of the height of the button.
The donate button image has a small dark blue triangular shape positioned Immediately to the right of the "Donate" text. This triangle has the appearance of an arrow pointing to the right, suggesting that the button will take the user forward to a page when selected.
